The Lärchmoos
'Going to the mountains
is like going home.'
(John Muir)
There are those extraordinary places with the power to enchant and inspire.
Ramsau am Dachstein most definitely is such a special place. It is a place to come down, to relax, to recreate, to take a deep breath, to renew strength and to feel pure joy…
And here, right in the middle of impressive mountain world and breathtaking nature, you find our house: The Lärchmoos.
Constructed as a family home in the late 1970s it was built with great passion and commitment by the homeowners themselves. At that time one small housing unit was integrated to accommodate guests.
It all started out with one tiny accommodation facility. In the years to come our small business grew and three apartments evolved.
In this manner our family runs the Lärchmoos as a small but very charming guesthouse since the 1980s.
Mission Statement
We love nature, craftsmanship and art. All of those aspects we intend to reflect in our apartments.
Heirloom pieces, handcrafted items, vintage objects and flea market finds meet with modern design and merge into harmonious coexistence. Materials like wool, linen and timber bring nature inside and provide with coziness and warmth. We maintain the Lärchmoos within a balanced mix of old and new, with a lot of love and appreciation for the detail, with a great sense for tradition and a lot of space for the future…
We embrace nature and emphasize to protect and preserve our environment for future generations. To minimize our ecological footprint, we try to find sustainable solutions to operate and maintain our house and business: A solar system for hot water preparation, environmentally friendly and compostable cleaning products, rainwater utilization for watering the garden and outdoor facilities, the use of environmentally friendly and sustainable materials for upcoming renovations, waste recycling and reduction of waste in general.
Our goal is to create and preserve a house and business for generations of guests to come where they can unwind, relax and feel comfortable. It is our everyday business to put joy, effort and inspiration into refining and maintaining our house and to provide our guests with memorable experience and an unforgettable stay.
Be our guest and let the charm of our house and the incredible surrounding nature enchant your life. Leave behind your everyday business and make room for fresh perspectives…
